26Lift collective slightly, reduce RPMHorn/light at 97% rotor RPM
CAUTIONAvoid continuous operation at rotor speed of 60-70% to minimize tail resonance.
CAUTIONOn slippery surfaces, be prepared to counter nose right rotation with left pedal as governor increases RPM.
NOTEDuring run-up & shutdown, pilot should uncover right ear, open right door, and listen for unusual bearing noise. Failing bearings will produce an audible whine or growl well before final failure.
Shutdown Procedure
1Collective downFriction ON
2RPM 70-75%CHT drop (~3 minutes)
